Terrorism is conducted in a planned way with inhuman attitude. A variety of methods are adopted by terrorists. These are discussed below: a. Assassination. It is a clean murder by interested individual, group or party for gaining reward. It is carried out by surprise attack and secrecy is maintained till its execution. It is the oldest and the most frequently adopted method by terrorists. b. Kidnapping. It is another most frequently used method by terrorists. The main purpose of kidnapping is to extort ransom. C. Hostage Barricade. In case of normal kidnapping the hostage is taken to a hideout a,nd kept there during ransom negotiations. But in the case of hostage barricade kidnappers do not take the hostages in hideout. Rather they are prevented from doing so. They along with hostages are surrounded in public place. The terrorists include their own escape as a part of any subsequent bargain. d. Hijacking.! It is mainly the hijacking of airplanes but terrorists have started hijacking trains, buses and ships as well. e. Expropriation. It is anther tool in the hands of terrorists. Bank robberies and robberies of trains and vans which carry large sums of money are the examples. Huge amounts are collected mainly to finance the terrorist activities. f. Bombs and Explosives. It is also the oldest but strong weapon of the terrorist. The recent bomb explosion in Madrid and London has shaken the government of Spain and UK. g. Mass Killings. Though it is not commonly used but at times 4 large-scale murders were also resorted.
