Global Alliance for Homeland Security is a USA based organization. We have regional office in New York. The Global Alliance is Chaired by former Congressman Benjamin A. Gilman (RRNY), and former Chairman, House International Relations Committee, Congress of the united state of America. It was launched in New York in June, 2006 where Congressman Peter T. King (R-NY), Chairman, Congressional Homeland Security, Congresswoman Carolyn Maloney (DDNY) and Congressman Curt Weldon (R-Pa.), Vice Chairman, Congressional Homeland Security attended the program. At this Conference Global Alliance hosted bi-partisan delegation from Bangladesh to address the fact that America’s proverbial worst security nightmare occurred in August,2005 in Bangladesh with the simultaneous terrorist bombings of all sector s of Bangladesh society including mosques, churches, courts, schools, cinemas and shopping areas etc. Mr. Golam Mehraj, who chairs Asian Regional Chapter for the Global Alliance and who is our main coordinator to the Asian-American community in USA, was instrumental in organizing the conference. In 2007 the Global Alliance for Homeland Security organized a conference inside the Capitol Hill(Congress building)where the chairman and members of the Congress namely Honorable Tom Lantos chairman Congressional Foreign Affairs committee, Peter T. King chairman Congressional Homeland Security committee, Congressman Joseph Crowley Chief Deputy Whip of US Congress, Shila Jackson Lee, Member Committee on Homeland Security, Congressman Mauris Hinchy, Congressman Dan Barton, former Congressman Lester Wolf, former Congressman Curt Weldon, former advisor of White House on nuclear Hon. Edward Badaldo, New York State Homeland Security Director Fred Digadio, Officials from US Department of State ,Pentagon(DOD) and many diplomats from various countries were attended and spoke in the seminar. Our goal is to focus on the need for increased development agencies funding and foreign aid for Homeland Security in the S.A.R.C countries as well as the need for greater cultural and religious exchange among Western and S.A.R.C.

Our Objective

The purpose of the association is to promote the development, establishment, and expansion of the homeland security internationally and to promote education and information exchange internationally as to cultural and religious issues and homeland security standards, goods, services, technologies and commercial opportunities. To act as official liaison between the global homeland security industry and governmental bodies and agencies and other organizations throughout the world by representing said industry and presenting the opinions and sentiments of those within the industry as coordinated through the efforts of this Association, and by advising the members of all governmental and organized activity which may affect the industry, to collect and disseminate such accurate information as may serve to benefit each member of the Association; to promote and conduct product research and related activities within their industry; to actively encourage developed nations and the international development agencies to increase aid and lending to developing countries, such as Bangladesh, to facilitate the implementation of projects designed to improve border and port security and security generally in these countries and to develop homeland security industries in these countries, as well as to increase aid for education and inter-faith exchange in these countries; to maintain and foster cordial and friendly relations between homeland security firms and related industries; and to do everything appropriate, incidental and necessary to implement the foregoing purposes of the herein described non-profit trade organization. The association/corporation also has such powers as are permit to be exercised by a corporation under the statutes of New York State. The aim of this presentation is to highlight the causes of terrorism and analyze the measures to eradicate it with particular reference to Bangladesh and SAARC countries.
